Crenellated Arts

Illustration and Digital Interpretation:

Arts and Heritage

Let me introduce myself….

I have a background in town planning and conservation, having worked in various Local Authorities in Scotland and England in the fields of regeneration, forward planning, development management and conservation project management.  I was also a teaching fellow for Historic Scotland specialising in traditional skills, and currently work with the University of the West of Scotland on digital media projects in areas of socio-economic regeneration. My academic background covers town planning, conservation, education and creative media practice and I am a member of the RTPI, IHBC, AoI and SAA.

I undertake freelance projects on a multi-disciplinary basis specialising in work for community groups, third sector and public sector bodies, working both to help get heritage and arts projects going and also the engagement projects which keep them going (helping people have fun with community heritage and explore it in creative ways, and increase the profile of conservation related projects).

I also sell illustration online (though Etsy) and at pop up markets- ‘drawing the architecture which surrounds your life’. I always keep an eye out for participatory public arts projects (I was on the Fourth Plinth) and enjoy taking part in exhibitions and gallery  shows.

In my freetime I volunteer for PAS, and am rarely to be found without a sketchbook.
