The project "Gdansk to Govan" was my photographic response to a series of visits to Gdansk shipyard with the University of the West of Scotland and ASP Art Academy Gdansk. I participated in two summer schools in 2013 and 2014 as part of this exchange, which encouraged artistic interventions which related to the regeneration of the shipyard. I was struck by the similarity between the view from the tower Panorama Restauracja and the Glasgow Science Tower over the shipyards and entitled my work "Gdansk to Govan".
The discussions around physical developments in Gdansk led to a Regeneration and Waterfront Heritage Research Network where artistic events, academic debates and papers continue to be developed.
